‘I won £1,397 from 40p tickets!’

About 10 years ago, I saw an advert for Woman Bingo and thought I would give it a try – and I have never looked back!
I used to play bingo in a local hall, but playing online meant I didn’t have to drive anywhere, could play when I wanted to and also didn’t have to park or pay for food or drinks, so I couldn’t wait to give it a go.

I’d logged into my account on my laptop one evening and had bought myself four tickets for the Bingo Lounge, costing 40p – I only ever buy around four or five tickets. I left the game playing because the numbers are automatically dabbed off by the computer. Then I went into Starburst, a slot game I also enjoy. It’s cheap to play and as I had £4 in my account, I thought I’d have a few games.
But all of a sudden, my balance wasn’t £4 any more, it was £1,401. I quickly went back into the Bingo Lounge, where the chat room members were all congratulating me. ‘Well done, winner!’ they typed.
I hadn’t even realised, but while I’d been playing Starburst, I’d won the jackpot in the Bingo Lounge when I wasn’t looking! I was absolutely chuffed and couldn’t believe my luck.
Picking up the phone, I called my son to tell him the good news. ‘Guess what I’ve done?’ I asked.
‘I bet you’ve won on the bingo again, haven’t you? Send me some, will you?’ he teased.
It wasn’t the first time I’d won a cash prize on the bingo. Over the course of the past few years I’d won the odd £200 or £100 for matching lines in bingo. What’s more, I wasn’t the only winner in our family. In fact, both of my sons had joined the site after hearing how much I liked it and both of them had jackpot wins – one winning £2,600, the other £15,800!
New friendships
I told them that they only needed to buy a few tickets to have a chance of winning and that’s exactly what they did!
With the money I’d won, I decided to do up my house, repainting the lounge and wallpapering my bedroom as well as renewing the carpet.
In February this year, I was playing one Saturday morning
and as ever, I just bought four or five tickets costing 50p. I won £1,000 that morning from matching various lines on the bingo and hitting the smaller jackpots of £200 or £100. I withdrew the money straight away to put towards more paint and furniture!
For me, Woman Bingo isn’t all about the jackpot wins. I’ve also made some great friends on the site. Even better, I can play whenever I like, whether it’s from the sofa or in bed! I usually make a cuppa, settle in and play for an hour or so whenever I have time. Sometimes I think about what I’d do if I won an even bigger jackpot. I would love to win enough to be able to go on holiday to Egypt.
