He’s trying to make the home, which is now his full-time terrain, more ‘his’ – more in his control and to his taste. But he’s also trying to find a meaning in his life now he hasn’t got a place of work or a role outside the home. I can understand your sense of being invaded, as well as the irritation of not finding the things you need to make supper! So hand the chores over to him – expect a meal on’t table when you return! Understand it, forgive it and work with it.
