‘The main frustration for me is the lack of space. Cooking vegan food requires a lot of chopping, whirring and liquidising. The fridge space is not so much a function of Flic being vegan, it’s because she can never decide what she wants to eat until half an hour beforehand. The really difficult thing is the stress we go through trying to eat together every night. Plus the shopping bills are high and there’s a lot of waste. when we met, I didn’t know she would go vegan, and it has separated us at meal times. But it’s amazing what you’ll put up with when you love someone.’
