Blake became famous as dopey teenage schoolboy neil Sutherland in E4 comedy The Inbetweeners which ran for three series from 2008 to 2010 and spawned two movie spin-offs. Since then he’s starred in the ITV detective drama Prime Suspect 1973, as Private Pike in the 2016 Dad’s Army remake and as hapless hitman andrew newton in BBC1’S A Very English Scandal.

Blake stars in BBC1’S Caribbean cop drama this week and is involved in a curious mystery at Saint marie’s zoo that DI Jack mooney (ardal o’hanlon) struggles to solve. Blake plays zoo-keeper Theo Roberts, who has turned his life around to work with zoo owner Xander Shepherd (Jonathan Kerrigan) and Xander’s younger brother and serial flirt Dylan (Jonas armstrong).
