we have opposite sleep patterns

-

Q My husband has always been a night owl, while I’m up with the sun. This has begun to really spoil our relationship now he’s retired and I’m still at work. I have to be up at 7am on weekdays, and weekend lie-ins throw me off kilter. He stays up late on his computer and sleeps sometimes till noon. Often, when he comes to bed he wakes me and then I can’t get back to sleep. Many times I’ve asked him to try and have routines more in line with mine – after all, I’m the one bringing in a wage. He says he’ll try but he can’t get to sleep if he comes to bed any earlier, and it doesn’t seem to bother him I have to sit around half the day on weekends so we can do stuff together. Am I being unreasonable?
