Rachel Sharples, 37, from Rochdale, went on a diving holiday with her win
After making myself a cup of tea, I popped upstairs to my bedroom and loaded my laptop. I’d not long finished reading my Woman magazine, and I’d seen an advert inside for Woman Bingo. When I looked at the jackpot total, I was surprised to see that I, along with the other bingo players, was playing for £1,500. Just a few minutes into my game I needed only one more number. Then suddenly, something flashed on my screen.
It was a message of congratulations. ‘I’ve won the jackpot!’ I screamed, running to tell my housemate. He couldn’t believe I’d scooped the jackpot on the first day that I’d joined.
I knew just what I wanted to spend my winnings on, too – I booked a diving holiday to Tenerife for me and a friend.
I even had a little bit left over when I returned, so I’ve saved it and plan to treat myself later this year. I still can’t believe I became a winner on the same day that I joined, it really is an incredible feeling.
