QWe had to have our dog put down last month. I’m struggling with the grief. So is my husband and our children who were brought up with this dog, and our three grandchildren who doted on him. ASaying nothing is not an option. You’ll go on feeling angry, but ‘you killed my dog!’ isn’t going to help either. Change needs to happen – it could have easily been your grandchild. Initiate a calm discussion and tell him ‘We need to talk about why the dog died’ so you’re not making accusations. Make an appointment with Relate (relate.org.uk) to speak to someone who can help you both express your feelings and draw up rules for the future.
