WHAT ABOUT COST?

-

Contrary to popular opinion, eating green doesn’t have to break the bank. When it comes to our weekly shop, it is the meat that is usually the most expensive item. As well as cutting down on your meat consumption and eating locally sourced, seasonal fruit and veg, other things you can do to keep costs down include:

✱ Freezing leftovers

✱ Comparing prices per 100g to make sure you really are getting a deal – use the price tabs on the supermarket shelves so you can compare different size packs.

✱ Buy by the bag, not by piece.
