I ate what?!

Lockdown meant my biggest ideas were scrapped. I couldn’t try four-by-four offroading, riding a motorbike or climbing three mountains in a day. Instead, I focused on little adventures and, when friends told me they loved seeing what I was up to next, I began to realise that my new experiences, documented on social media, were cheering people up. The sight of me heaving at the taste of a boiled egg was a moment of silliness in scary times. And I’ve discovered I’m firmly in the ‘hate it’ camp when it comes to Marmite! I think I may have had my Scottish passport revoked the day I tried whisky. I thought it might connect me to my ancestors, but to me it tasted like antiseptic. I’ll stick to tea!
