Open-mic night

I can’t sing, so I opted to try stand-up comedy for what might have been the longest 10 minutes of my life. The event was a school fundraiser, so the audience was kind, but I forgot most of my lines and I was so embarrassed. The fear of not being good at something always used to hold me back – so, although I still blush when I think about the experience, I’m so proud of myself for giving it a go.
