Reading about 100 super-rich people who have pointed out that they need to pay MORE tax felt like some sort of satire… but it turns out it’s true. International group The Patriotic Millionaires have written an open letter saying they feel bad that their wealth has gone UP during the pandemic. In the UK, they’re calling for a ‘wealth tax’ to replace the planned National Insurance rises for those on low incomes. Astonishing they’ve had to lobby for this, but also… brilliant.
