Bad news for fans of fish ’n’ chips. They’re soon going to cost £10 a pop – or more. The National Federation of Fish Friers reports that wholesale cod prices have jumped 75% in a year while haddock is up 81%, mushy peas 120% and batter 40%. Is there anywhere we’re not feeling the pinch these days?
