She’s been a regular on our TV screens for 20 years and was in the public eye as a model before that, but it turns out we don’t know Tess Daly as well as we thought. Recently, the Strictly Come Dancing presenter revealed that her name’s not actually Tess. Born Helen Elizabeth Daly, she changed her name to Tess to help her stand out. And while she admitted, ‘I’ve never changed it by deed poll or anything because I think it would be disrespectful to my parents’, the pseudonym has certainly brought her success.
