Rinse out your empties Once you’ve finished a bottle, rinse it clean and squash it flat. Recycling centres often reject any containers with product left in them and flattening them makes room for more.

Get a second bin

If the thought of separating your recycling is too much to bear, make the job simple from the get-go and keep a second recycling bin next to your normal bathroom bin. You’ll be far more likely to recycle when bin day comes.
