Selling off or selling out?

Privatising Channel 4 seems the worst idea since someone cracked open the wine in Downing Street in lockdown. Literally no one is calling for it, with everyone in the media industry, backed by the public, making it clear they have no appetite for it. Still, culture secretary Nadine Dorries, who didn’t even know how C4 was funded a few weeks ago, remains intent on flogging it to the highest bidder.
