Christmas did not come early for Ireland in 2008. Pop puppet and staple of Irish Children’s TV Dustin the Turkey’s Irelande Douze Pointe [sic] called the other contestants ‘mad acts and sad acts’ – and, perhaps unsurprisingly, didn’t make it past the semi-finals.
