An accident waiting to happen

Call me old-fashioned but the idea that people can watch TV and check emails while behind the wheel of a ‘selfdriving’ car seems like a bad one. Even if they’re stuck in a queue, the driver’s seat doesn’t seem the best place to catch up on last night’s Derry Girls. The planned change to the Highway Code says motorists must be ‘ready to resume control in a timely way’. It’s going to be a rocky road ahead.
