HRT hits the shelves

A win for menopausal women – hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is available over the counter. The first type of HRT to become available at pharmacies without a prescription is called Gina. The vaginal tablets treat symptoms such as vaginal dryness, itching, burning and uncomfortable sex, and can be taken by women aged 50 years and over who have not had a period for at least one year.
