As Countryfile star Helen Skelton prepares to battle for the Glitterball trophy, she’s found herself at the centre of ‘Strictly fix’ rumours after it emerged that she was a tap-dance champion in her youth. But the 39-year-old tapped into the claims, saying, ‘I found it so funny when they said it was a fix. When I was seven, yes, I did tap dancing… and absolutely loved it. Hit an age where I didn’t want to be in a leotard in public and I gave it up. I wish I hadn’t.’
