Following the opening night of his play, Mindgame, ruthless theatre critic, Harriet Throsby, has been stabbed to death with a knife belonging to Anthony. The police are convinced they have the murderer. Meanwhile, ex-detective Daniel Hawthorne is intent on finding the real killer. Cleverly placed red herrings will keep you guessing right up to the end and Horowitz’s inclusion of himself is genius.
