Marriage tax allowance
If you’re married or in a civil partnership, you could get £252 back every tax year. To qualify, one partner must be a non-taxpayer or have earnings below the Personal Allowance limit of £12,570 and the other must be a basic-rate taxpayer. Around two million people are missing out on this benefit – find out more at gov.uk/marriage-allowance.
