‘A TWEAKMENT SHOULD BE VIRTUALLY UNDETECTABLE’

-

Anna Kremerov, 43, is Igor’s wife and Anna Medical Aesthetics’ clinical director. Since coming out of lockdown, I’ve seen an increased uptake in cosmetic treatments by men. With everyone seeing themselves in virtual meetings, it’s no wonder more men than ever are wanting to tweak themselves too. The sorts of people coming through the doors of my clinic vary massively, from young men wanting to brighten their complexion, to wives bringing in their husbands for anti-wrinkle treatments.

While the women I treat are more open to different kinds of treatments and strict skincare routines, most men I see are nervous about discussing it and don’t want the hassle of a high-maintenance procedure. Most of the time, they want to be able to have it injected once, and then forget about it.

In the case of Igor, I was proud to be the practitioner tasked with administering his tweakments. Obviously I love my husband just the way he is, but if some subtle fillers and Botox are what’s needed to give him an extra drop of confidence, that can’t be a bad thing.

The biggest problem I encounter is people not doing their research before rushing into cheap treatments. From backstreet beauty parlours to Botox parties, men and women can fall into the trap and be left with botched treatments they regret. If done properly, a tweakment should be virtually undetectable, which is one of the main reasons men are loving them so much.
