WAGATHA: THE TV SHOW
The Wagatha Christie trial had us hooked for months, but the drama isn’t over as soon we’ll get to see the story unfold on our TV screens. Channel 4’s new two-part series Vardy V Rooney will feature Bafta-winning actress Chanel Cresswell (This is England, Trollied, Sherwood) as Coleen Rooney while – as Woman went to print – the casting for the role of Rebekah Vardy was yet to be announced. Tom Popay, the show’s creative director, said, ‘We’re excited to bring the trial to life in such a unique way and hoping we can get to the bottom of how this case fascinated and amazed so many.’
