Unbareable mum
While Amanda Holden may be happy to flash some flesh in the name of fashion, that doesn’t mean her daughter Lexi can do the same.
The 51-year-old – who is known for her risqué outfit choices – has revealed that she confiscated items from the 16-year-old’s wardrobe. However, instead of shipping the skimpy items off to a charity shop, the Heart Radio presenter admitted she prefers to incorporate them into her own wardrobe. Amanda said, ‘I wouldn’t even call it a bikini top. My daughter’s 16… It just about covers the bits up top that you would expect it to cover, but it was definitely not for my daughter.’ She continued,
‘I went, “No, you’re not wearing that… but Mummy can have it”… so Mummy’s got it, and waiting for a moment to wear it… In two years, she can have it back.’
Amanda has hit headlines in the past with her Britain’s Got Talent outfits sparking a flurry of Ofcom complaints, but the BGT judge takes the criticism in her stride, even telling naysayers, ‘Get over it. It doesn’t seem to matter when you see boys’ nipples, so I don’t get why it matters when you can see girls’… It’s everyone else that makes the fuss about them.’
The star went as far as to joke, ‘I am seriously thinking my girls [boobs] need separate representation to me, because they are known on their own.’ Well, if Mariah Carey can insure her legs…
