‘THEY WANT TO MAKE FILTERED FACES REAL’

Aesthetics practition­er and skincare expert Amish Patel says, ‘A lot of younger people come into the clinic and share images that have clearly been filtered, asking how much it would cost to achieve this ‘look’.

‘From a moral standpoint, we do not treat anyone in their early 20s and younger, as the face is still developing.

‘What looks good at a particular angle in a filtered photo would often look strange in reality, as faces are three-dimensiona­l, so we always look at symmetry, facial balance and what would suit each individual face.’
