WHERE’S THE NATURAL BEAUTY?

- ✱ Altering photos for social media is a huge trend. This week’s Talking About (pages 14-15) looks at Instagram vs reality and how far some will go, including Madonna!

You’ve got to hand it to Madonna – when it comes to growing old disgracefully, she really is a world leader. But does she think that acting and looking the way she does at 64 is going to make us all want to emulate her? Because if so, she’s sorely mistaken.

The more I see her wiggling her buttocks in the air, covered only by a G-string and fishnets, or shoving her cleavage towards the camera, the more

I feel sorry for her. It’s all so desperate.

I suppose you’ve got to admire her determination. She is so locked on keeping hold of her youth, she’ll do just about anything to achieve it. Including having God-knows-what done to her face, leaving her barely recognisable.

Lorraine Kelly hit the nail on the head when she saw those pictures of the singer with no eyebrows whatsoever, bright pink hair and facial features that didn’t seem to belong to her and wailed: ‘Is that actually Madonna? I don’t recognise her. Honestly, what’s she done? She looks like a boiled egg.’

Yup, the Queen of Pop has spent tens of thousands of dollars to end up looking like… Humpty Dumpty.

There’s probably a lot of truth in the saying that some people have more money than sense. Because Lorraine also had a point when she said: ‘She was so beautiful – why, why, why do women do this to themselves?’

There is a growing trend that says no matter how weird, ridiculous or alien your lip fillers/facelift/cheek implants look, it’s still massively preferable to having any wrinkles.

But looking at Madonna, and others like Katie Price and Sharon Osbourne, I’m really not sure that it’s true.

Last year, 14,354 cosmetic procedures were carried out on women in the UK, compared with just 1,051 on men. Ladies, I think it’s time to let nature take its course and to spend our money on other stuff.

?? ?? It seems Madonna is not a fan of the natural look
