6 Have a health check

Other medical conditions could be causing bad breath. For example, you may notice it if you have an infection such as tonsillitis, although this tends to cause other symptoms too, such as a sore throat and fever. You may also have bad breath if you breathe through your mouth, if your nose is blocked, or if you have a cold, allergies or nasal polyps which need to be treated.
