Maple pigs in blankets

Maple syrup and clementine juice give these a wonderful sweetness.

SERVES 8 PREP 5 MINS COOK 25 MINS

✱ 12 chipolatas

✱ 12 rashers streaky bacon

✱ 3tbsp maple syrup

✱ Juice of ½ clementine

1 Heat the oven to 180C Fan/gas 6. Wrap each sausage in a rasher of streaky bacon by winding it round in a spiral.

Roast on a lined baking tray for 15 mins.

2 Combine the maple syrup and clementine juice with a good pinch of salt and pepper. After 15 mins, baste the sausages with the maple mixture. Cook for a further 5-10 mins, until cooked through and the bacon is crisp.
