Too soon for a Christmas together?

QMy man and I got together in September. We’re so blissfully happy that I assumed we’d spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day together. But my girlfriends say I’m getting far too serious too soon – and that I’ll scare him off if I suggest that. I keep imagining how lovely it would be to make love on Christmas Eve night and wake up together on the day itself. What’s your take on this?

AWe all have festive traditions and they’re important! So your man may already be committed to spending the holiday with his kids, his parents, his closest mates. And it is too early in your relationship to ask him to abandon those. But it’s not too early to ask, ‘What do you normally do over Christmas?’ then gently explore what you each want. And remember that if the relationship lasts, you’ll spend every Christmas together forever!
