There is a lot of hoo-ha over the filming of scenes for The Crown in which Princess Diana dies in a car crash. But did anyone really think they would skip that bit? Surely not. Nor were they going to ignore the Martin Bashir Panorama interview. These things happened. The Crown is a ‘fictional dramatisation’, ‘inspired by real events’. If you don’t like it, don’t watch!
