QI’ve always been close to my second cousin. And when we were teenagers, we even had a few moments of erotic connection. But I haven’t seen him for several years. Now, our whole family is getting together on Christmas Day. Apparently he’s going to be there, and he’s now divorced. So I’m feeling excited about this and hoping something will happen between us. But is it a good idea to resurrect old loves?

AThere’s no reason not to get back with a man you fancied when you were young – even your second cousin, as it’s perfectly legal! But be aware that he may have moved on, may be with someone new. So, yes, look forward to meeting your second cousin at Christmas but don’t absolutely rely on getting together. Instead, tread carefully, take things slowly.
