TV star Judy Finnigan has confessed she has lived her life with the worry that she was going to go blind.

Recently opening up, Judy, 69, said she has always concerned that she would contract agerelated macular degeneration (AMD) – the same disease her mum suffered from. Judy explained, ‘It robbed my mother of her sight and made the last 15 years of her long life a growing misery.

‘Terrible eyesight runs through my family. Blindness, glaucoma, AMD, you name it,’ the star added. However, fortunately for the mum-of-four, she can now shelve her concerns, as researchers have found a cure, which can help restore sight. Judy wrote, ‘I breathed “hallelujah” this week. The worst future health fear I have may at last have dissipated.

‘Maybe at last I can stop worrying,’ she continued.

What a relief. Glad to hear it, Judy!
