‘My boys are both into music’
Sir Elton John on his sons, latest film Sherlock Gnomes – and why he’s never gnome alone!
Kids favourites Gnomeo and Juliet are back on the big screen...
They are! They’ve moved to London but things aren’t all they seem in the Big Smoke. Gnomes start being captured and when all the gnomes in the garden are stolen, it’s a case for Sherlock Gnomes!
Sherlock Gnomes is a family film but gnomes can divide folk…
There is gnomo-phobia! But I love a gnome. We have a couple of gnomes in our house – in fact, we have eight in a row, but they are quite arty.

especially. They are great kids. David (Furnish) took them away skiing at half-term and the house was a nightmare – it was empty, there was no laughter, and that’s why I am coming off the road after the world tour. I need to be there for them. We want them to have a normal life, to go to school and not be celebrity kids.
You’re back on the road for three years this autumn...
I am looking forward to it. It’s going to be beautiful to look at and I’m looking forward to saying goodbye.
