1 Wimbledon 2018, BBC1 and BBC2
New balls, please! For me, the sound of a racket and ball as I gently nod off on a lazy afternoon is THE sound of the summer. Avoid the queues and treat yourself to strawberries and cream and a Pimm’s cup at home.
2 Eastenders, BBC1
Expect a tear-jerker of a week as the day of Shakil’s funeral dawns and the residents of Walford gather to pay their respects for the victim of the recent brutal knife attack. The sight of his mourning brother Kush in the congregation alone is a heartbreaker.
3 Emmerdale, ITV
At his wits’ end and after failing to convince the police and his family – or anyone who sups at The Woolpack on a regular basis for that matter – about what has been going on, Daz finally takes things into his own hands and heads off to face Amelia’s kidnapper for a showdown.
