Have you heard…
Parents have been charged more than £151 million in the last year for being late to pick up their children from nurseries, after-school clubs and childminders, according to a report by Direct Line Life Insurance.
The study found mums and dads were late for collection on average three times in the past 12 months, typically paying a total of £25.10 in fines each.
However, it also found the fines varied considerably, with some providers charging a flat fee of up to £50 for late collections, while others billed at a rate of £1 per minute. Ouch!
