FAMILY CONCERNS

-

Despite Linda’s desire to have a little nip and tuck, it would seem that her friends and family are less than pleased about it. ‘Her family are dead set against it, although her husband Mark will support whatever makes her happy – but he doesn’t want her to put herself in any danger and for that reason he isn’t keen,’ we’re told. Linda has been open about her family’s thoughts on surgery, saying, ‘They said, “You’re being ridiculous. One person has said something horrible about you.”’ And, it looks as though her fellow Loose Women panellist Janet Streetporter is also not convinced that Linda needs surgery, saying, ‘I agree that women are paranoid about their necks, but nature is gravity.’ Another thing impacting her decision is her beloved grandkids, Lila and Betsy, who have played a key role in Linda’s lifestyle change. ‘When I was told I could get diabetes, I thought, “I’ve got two young grandchildren who are the loves of my life. I want to be around for when they get married.” That’s helped me stick to it,’ she said. And they are at the forefront of her mind again when it comes to any decision about going under the knife.

‘One thing holding her back is the grandkids, who love her as she is,’ says our source. ‘Linda is very aware that she’s setting an example and wonders what message it sends out if she has cosmetic surgery. There’s also the worry that surgery is dangerous.’
