He’s always up in the night!
QMy husband is 67 and for many years he has had to get up at night for a wee. Recently, it’s been happening more frequently – three or more times a night. Does he need to be checked out?
AYes, he does. The most likely explanation is that he has a benign enlargement of the prostate gland, which affects half of all men over 50 and becomes more common with age. However, weeing more frequently, particularly at night, can also be a sign of prostate cancer, so ensure he makes an appointment so his doctor can examine him and arrange a blood test to look into this.
