The new TV drama, Care
After her break from the spotlight earlier this year, we’re over the moon that Sheridan Smith is returning to our screens this week in the new BBC1 show, Care. Inspired by the real-life experiences of the screenwriters, Jimmy Mcgovern and Gillian Juckes, the 90-minute drama sees Sheridan playing single mum-of-two Jenny, whose life is flipped upside down when her mother Mary, played by Alison Steadman, suffers a stroke and then begins to develop dementia. We’ll be sure to tune in!
