Our columnist Dawn Neesom has her say
Somewhat shockingly Spice Girl Mel B’s autobiography, Brutally Honest, is set to be one of the best-sellers this Christmas. I say shockingly because it’s a self-indulgent romp through drug binges, threesomes, sex tapes and booze benders.
While I have every sympathy for women who marry idiots, not all of us use it as an excuse to plunge into a hedonistic hell.
Mel – who has three daughters – blames everyone but herself for her behaviour. Her solution to emotional pain was drugs. Then she says her husband lost her her £80m fortune. Drugs aren’t cheap, love.
Once upon a time Mel was all about girl power. By her own accounts she handed all that power over to men. Scary.
