Amanda ‘Hurt and betrayed’
The TV presenter is ‘not happy’ after This Morning snubbed her for Rochelle Humes
Losing out on a job is humiliating for anyone. But for Amanda Holden, not getting her dream gig – co-hosting This Morning while Holly Willoughby took over from Ant Mcpartlin in the jungle – was an even deeper sting, perhaps more so given that she lost out to someone nearly 20 years younger than her, Rochelle Humes.
The snub is understandably thought to have left Amanda, 47, feeling hurt, as a well-placed source tells Woman’s Own, ‘Amanda has taken it to heart being pushed off the sofa by Rochelle Humes, but she won’t give up. Amanda’s a fighter and hasn’t got as far as she has today by playing pussy cat tactics. She will go all out to combat her demons. Like anyone else would, she feels hurt and betrayed.’ It looks like Amanda isn’t taking this
one lying down…
Phil has since admitted, ‘Rochelle was my choice to come and sit on the sofa.’
Amanda is also concerned that her role as a judge on Britain’s Got Talent played a part in the This Morning offer getting withdrawn.
‘She’s worried that Britain’s Got Talent has typecast her and could be a factor for her not getting re-signed to This Morning and losing out to Rochelle,’ reveals our insider.
