Don’t let the cold, wet weather put you off getting out and doing some exercise. Try joining a Parkrun – these are free, weekly 5km timed runs (parkrun.org.uk) that take place in local parkland areas, where you’ll get the added benefit of exercising alongside others. You can also download the free Nike Training Club app (nike.com/gb/en_gb/c/ nike-plus/training-app), which is packed with loads of great individual workouts that you can follow.
2 Time to chill
Why not use your phone to help you reduce your stress levels? There are fantastic meditation apps you can download, such as Headspace (headspace.com), which offers a free 30-day trial so you can enjoy the benefits of learning the technique without having to shell out any cash.
3 Find your voice
Did you know singing has proven benefits to make you feel better? So, for an instant hit, put on your favourite tunes and belt out your heart out at home!
