100th birthday walk

Captain Tom Moore – now knighted – set out to walk 100 lengths of his garden to celebrate turning 100 on 30 April – and in the process ended up raising nearly £33 million for NHS Charities Together.

Scrubbed up

Scrub Hub (scrubhub.org.uk) is a network of volunteers with a passion for sewing who have been making scrubs for those NHS workers across the UK unable to get hold of supplies.

Food for heroes

Chefs across the UK have been cooking up a storm to feed healthcare workers. One scheme in London, called Furloughed Foodies, has over 200 volunteers who’ve delivered around 2,000 meals to hospital staff.
