HEALTH FEARS FOR EAMONN
As Eamonn Holmes shares updates on his health battles, his wife Ruth is desperate for him to take it easy
Eamonn Holmes left fans concerned when he found himself in A&E after suffering a flare-up of chronic pain. After enduring it for weeks, the 61-year-old shared an update once at the hospital, writing, ‘Will have a clearer picture of what’s causing my pain tomorrow, but just to say folks, like so many of you I’ve lived with chronic pain for years. Don’t allow it to stop me working.’
RUTH’S CONCERNS
It’s his attitude of putting work first that has left Eamonn’s wife, Ruth Langsford, fearing for his wellbeing - and Woman’s Own understands she’s told him the job needs to take a back seat for a while.
A source says, ‘Ruth wants to look after everyone she cares about, and there’s no way she will stand back and watch her husband harm his own health – he’s everything to her.’
Eamonn has yet to find out what is causing this flare-up, but the TV star had surgery in 2017 and is occasionally spotted with a cane. While it is clearly debilitating, Eamonn has vowed to fight on with the help of physiotherapists and other medical professionals and is
seeing a physio twice a day. Updating his fans again, he said, ‘Busy day so far… 1 hour physio at 4.30am to get match fit for today’s #Thismorning… followed by the cold shower routine! All this will either kill me or cure me.’
BEING LOOKED AFTER
Luckily for Eamonn he has his loving wife on hand for support. The Loose Women star loves nothing more than taking care of her husband and their son Jack, 19, and an insider adds, ‘Ruth has always worried about Eamonn’s health and she previously admitted that she cooks his meals to ensure he’s eating the right things, saying, “I sort out his food and make sure he’s in bed on time, that he’s going to have clean sheets and I’ve made a lovely dinner.”’ Sounds like Eamonn is in good hands!
