SERVES 4
On the table in just 15 mins, you can’t get much quicker than this! James and Paul describe the dish as being similar to a chow mein but a little saucier.
YOU WILL NEED
300g dried noodles
1tbsp dark soy sauce
1tbsp oyster sauce
1tbsp hoisin sauce
1tbsp cider vinegar
2tsp sesame oil
½ onion, sliced
3 cloves of garlic, crushed
400g stir-fry beef strips
100g beansprouts
2 spring onions, sliced
HOW TO DO IT
1 Cook the noodles according to the packet instructions, then drain and set aside. Meanwhile, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, cider vinegar and sesame oil. Heat a large frying pan over a high heat and spray it with a little oil. Add the onion and garlic and cook for a few mins. Add the beef and cook until just a little pink remains. Add the sauce and cook for another 2-3 mins.
2 Add the beansprouts and cook for 1 min until steaming hot.
3 Add the cooked noodles and stir until everything is coated. Serve, sprinkled with the sliced spring onions.
