‘No survivor should feel alone’

A spokesperson for The Survivors Trust, a charity that offers support and advice to victims of sexual assault and abuse, says:

‘Every survivor’s experience of sexual violence or abuse is valid and deserving of support. Regardless of what or when it happened, no survivor should have to feel alone. There is help available.

‘The Survivors Trust’s free, confidential helpline (0808 801 0818) and Live Chat service is available to anyone affected by sexual violence or abuse. Our trained helpline volunteers will support you through difficult emotions and can provide information about support options. We also welcome calls from family, friends and professionals working with survivors.

‘We want to remind every survivor that they are not to blame for what happened. We believe you and we’re here for you.’
