1998 SAYING ‘I DO’

When Pete and I married in October 1998,

I knew that I didn’t want an overstyled, heavy look, so while my sister Lynne is a great hairdresser, I opted to do my hair myself. It was important to me that I felt like me, and that when Pete saw me walking down the aisle, I was the same Mandy he’d always known. I didn’t want to look back at our wedding photos and not recognise myself, and wanted to feel feminine and natural, so I blow-dried my hair myself, as I always did. There’s no doubt that I was inspired by the ‘Rachel cut’ from Friends with my hair at the time, as so many of us were!
