GH THE DECADES 2018 SILVER VIXEN

I took the plunge and went grey in 2018. I hadn’t planned to do it, but when my hairdresser suggested experimenting with a purpley-blue toner, I said yes straight away. In the salon, I loved my new, silver look, but when I got home, Pete was so shocked he actually gasped! Our sons, Elliot, then 20, and George, 12, had a similar reaction, and even though our daughter, Lilianne, 18, loved it, Pete’s reaction was enough to plant a seed of doubt. After 24 hours, I’d had enough and washed it all out using washing-up liquid. I felt relieved to be rid of it, but, looking back, it’s gorgeous and I wish I’d kept it for a bit longer!
