INDIGESTION
It’s caused by acid irritating the stomach lining or throat, giving a burning sensation or a full, bloated feeling. It doesn’t require medical assistance unless the symptoms continue past three weeks. SORT IT ‘Ditch caffeinated or alcoholic drinks, and avoid rich, spicy or fatty foods,’ says Dr Williams. Don’t eat three to four hours before bed, as lying down can exacerbate reflux. Certain medications, like ibuprofen or aspirin, may also make indigestion worse.
