Congratulations are in store for TV’S Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan. The stars’ only daughter Chloe, who is married to exrugby union player James Haskell, is expecting her first child, making Richard, 65, and Judy, 73, grandparents again.
Former I’m a Celebrity… contestant James announced the news live on air as Richard interviewed him on GMB, revealing, ‘Well Richard, Chloe and I are expecting our first child. We are going to be having a little girl and you are going to be a grandfather once again.’
Richard went on to share a sweet snap with viewers of Chloe, 34, and Judy beaming with an ultrasound scan and sleepsuit in hand, noting, ‘That’s when she told us, that’s when she gave us the news. Judy looks so happy, doesn’t she?’
Richard revealed that he almost let slip the news when Chloe, who is now four months along, was only two months into her pregnancy. ‘She was doing a podcast, and I didn’t know, and I walked in, and she said, “Dad, I’m just doing something here,” and I didn’t know we were live. I said, “Oh, is it your hormones?”’ We bet that didn’t go down well!
Richard and Judy, who recently celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary, are already grandparents to their son Jack’s three-year-old boy Kit. Judy’s son Tom, from her first marriage, has daughters Ivy and Edith, but Chloe’s tot will be Richard’s first granddaughter and will no doubt be spoilt rotten by the GMB host.
