This sounds like a prolapse. See your GP, who will be able to confirm the diagnosis and discuss treatment options. These could include fitting a pessary, or an operation. If you opt for surgery, you’ll have to avoid heavy lifting for a few weeks and do exercises to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles.
